Kennedy Space Centre Layout - DT Sketches In Thyme

It was so nice to get 6 pictures scrapped! We had such a blast at the KSC, I'm so glad we got so many pictures. Also helped that it was the second day of our trip and we were a little camera happy. I used sketch #181 from Sketches In Thyme.

Can you tell I used Halloween products and one Christmas product? If you are doing a space theme I encourage you to start with your Halloween stash.

I made the moon with my circle cutter, then rubbed black ink on with a felt dabber. The moon rocks were made with a Fiskar's stencil.

Silver Trim - Doodlebug: Fancy Frills Classic

Glam Girls Layout

My daughter and her friend were pumped that I won hair chalk and tattoos at a social. They spent the whole afternoon covering themselves in glitter and glue.

I used the sketch + 3 challenge at Scrap Our Stash. This is such a great sketch.

I used American Crafts paper and Thickers from list 1. I used butterfly paper and chipboard from list 2. From list 3 I used a chipboard swirl, asterisk and butterfly.

Fall Family Fun Layout

I developed my pictures at a camera shop instead of the drugstore and got beautiful prints. This was my best picture and couldn't wait to scrap it. Then I forgot I got a matte finish and laid my stickable stencil on top. I ended up ruining the picture with glue all over it and the stencil ripped. I reprinted the picture at the drugstore and the quality is terrible. But the layout is finished. Maybe one day I can put a higher quality print into this layout. Hope no one else has this problem!

I'm trying to get the hang of doing mixed media. It's slowly coming along. Still trying to figure out how gesso, distress ink and paint all work.

I used the challenge at Creative Embellishments to inspire my layout. It requires a circular element and I wanted to use this circle of leaves with this picture. The inspiration picture has falling snow so I decided to put falling leaves in my layout. There were also blue and yellow shades in the picture. So excited to finally be playing along in their challenge!

I'm also playing along at The Paper Girls. Challenge #96 is to include a forest friend. I added the squirrel to my layout.

Paper Issues also has a Mix It Up challenge this month in their Facebook group. I used paint, texture paste and distress ink.

Kindness Elf Layout

I love getting 6 pictures into one layout! So happy the Scrappy Friends hosted a challenge with a double page sketch. I just printed 200 pictures so I think I see more double layouts in my future. This layout is all about our kindness elf. I sewed him last year and had a blast making little scenes and leaving notes about how to spread some kindness. This year was a little more crazy so our elf scenes and notes were less elaborate. Hoping next year to get back on track.

I followed the sketch from GrandDiva's Creative Corner.

I used ribbon from the challenge at Rochelle Spears.
I used the snowy winter theme from the mood board at Creating with Paper and More. I had lots of pictures of my Christmas elf and chose some green paper with snowflakes.

There is also an Anything Goes challenge on the Paper Issues Fans & Friends Facebook Page this month.

Supplies
Polka dot paper - Kaiser Craft: P404 Garland
Green paper - Reminisce: Under the Tree
Blue paper - Dollarama
Pink stripe - Ki
Red paper and plus signs - CraftSmith: Christmasville
Letters & Embellishments - Bella Blvd: Just Add Color & Christmas Cheer & Lucky Starz
Gold letters - Recollections: Glitter Stickers

Baby Cousin Layout

I can't believe my baby is big enough to hold a baby. Time sure flies. She is so happy to have a new baby cousin. Especially a girl cousin.

I was inspired by the sketch at Let's Get Sketchy.

I chose my colour scheme and photo based on the challenge at Scrap Our Stash. I used the blue, red and white and splattered some red paint.

I am also joining the challenge at Lasting Memories. The theme is new beginnings and this is definitely the beginning of what I hope will be a great friendship!

To create the layout I used a plastic bag to spread watercolours around the paper. I splattered some paint and painted the doily. I mixed paint with texture paste and used a stencil to make the plus signs. Then I added embellishments.

Supplies
White Paper
Watercolours
Craft Smart Bright Red Paint
Echo Park Stencil
Ranger Texture Paste
Buttons
Embroidery Thread
Numbers - Fancy Pants: Me-ology
Letters & Photo Corners - Bella Blvd: Playdate & Valentina Collection
Sticker - Bella Blvd: Tiny Tots

This Is Me And You Layout

It's a Fancy Pants kind of weekend! I needed a fun kit to scrap this fun picture.

I used this sketch from Stuck?! for inspiration. I had to flip the top line of the sketch as my page was too crowded on the left-hand side. My pictures and cards were so big I decided to put everything on an angle.

I chose a picture of myself so I could participate in the Anything Goes challenge #25 at Challenge Yourself.

There is also an Anything Goes challenge at Paper Issues on Facebook this month.

Supplies
Fancy Pants: Me-ology kit
Ice cream stickers: K & Company
