I began with the sketch from Paper Issues and the free cut file from their store. It has the holes for string art already punched so all I had to do was size the file and cut.
I used the challenge from Creative Embellishments as inspiration so I decided the star would be red to match the picture.
Originally, I had chosen a completely different paper kit but the picture that matched the best was Christmassy so I switched to Fancy Pants Oh Deer. The Christmas theme worked well with the stars and I chose a picture of my daughter on her birthday that had balloons on the bag like the inspiration pic:) I painted the title, glued some buttons and cord and splatted some gold and finished! It sounds fast but I actually agonized over every step!
