Winter Market Cards for Scrap Shotz

Hello. Just popping in to show some cards that I made for a special project here in Winnipeg. As you may have seen in the news, we are in as close to a full lockdown as you can get. There are so many personal care homes struggling with outbreaks and/or visitor restrictions. Our local radio station is collecting cards for the residents. So my daughter and I spent the weekend making cards.

I made 4 cards with the Carta Bella Winter Market Collection. I used some of the cut apart cards, 12x12 papers, ephemera and enamel dots. I used foam to attach some of the stickers so they pop off the card.

For the final card I used the Creative Expressions Winter Wreath Embossing Folder. I used Distress Inks in two different colours, dabbed red paint for berries and glued an embroidery thread around a stamped sentiment.

I still see the Winter Market Collection in the shop, so head on over and check it out!

Winter Market Part 2 for Scrap Shotz

Hello. Today I have another Carta Bella Winter Market layout. I found so many great cut files this month so I couldn't resist using one more.

The cut file is by Kolette Hall and is in the Silhouette Store. I cut out all the letters and used a T-square to paste them all on the page.

I used a square punch and then cut them in half to make the corner triangles. I also tucked some behind the picture.

The white parts of the layout are Bazzill Basics Textured Cardstock in white. The picture is backed with the Glitter Cardstock. I'm loving how it adds sparkle to a layout. I finished the layout with some ephemera and enamel dots.

This kit is the tried and true Carta Bella - lots of patterned paper, cut apart cards and a sticker sheet. Pop by the shop to check it out.

Have a great day.

Winter Market Layouts for Scrap Shotz - Part 1

Hello crafty friends! I'm back today with some fun winter layouts using the Carta Bella "Winter Market" Collection

Who's ready for winter? My daughter just loves the snow. I wish I shared some of her enthusiasm. But I thoroughly enjoyed using this snowy paper to document her love of the snow. I found the snowflake cut file in the Silhouette Store made by Teresa Collins. I cut it on plain white paper. I added some Glitter Glitz Gel by rubbing it on with my finger. The enamel dots added some nice contrast.

The title is a cut file from Jillibean Soup. I love a script font mixed with a print font. The papers are all from the Winter Market kit except for the white cardstock and glitter paper. I used this paper to frame the picture. It is pretty thick, bumpy paper so I think it would be difficult to run through a cutting machine. The remaining embellishments are from the ephemera pack and the sticker sheet that comes in the kit.

How cute is this sledding fox? I really wanted to document the sled hill in our front yard. It's about the only bonus to a steep driveway. I couldn't resist making this fox which can be found in the Silhouette Store. I cut out every piece on a white piece of cardstock. I used some distress inks with a blending tool and the brighter colours are distress paint. The black was done with a Sharpie. It was really fun to make.

The white hills are made with Bazzill textured cardstock. The title is Simple Stories Color Vibe Alphas. The embellishments are all stickers from the kit and enamel dots.

Thanks for checking out this collection. I'll be back with more next week.
