I'm so excited to be guest designer for Lasting Memories this month! The challenge this week is to create a mixed media layout with a giant title. I created this layout as my daughter and all her friends are obsessed with Frozen. She was so excited when Elsa showed up to her friend's birthday party. I'm so happy I was there to see it and take pictures.
I used a glitter paper from Martha Stewart Essentials for the border, the letters and snowflakes. The letters I sprayed with Mister Huey's opaque white paint to give it a more frozen look. The snowflake paper is from Basic Grey: Eskimo Kisses. I used a Marvy, Martha Stewart and Stampin' Up punch for the snowflakes. The light blue shimmer paper is from DCWV: Solid Glitter Blue. I used this to outline the letters and make some snowflakes. I found the letters didn't pop off the background so I added some black ink around the edges. The larger white snowflakes are from Recollections. I chopped the circles off of them and used them around the layout. The ribbon, photo corners and gems are from Dollarama:) Finally, I used an old greeting card for some snowflakes and the border to the textbox.

Her Second Birthday Layout
Here is a very busy page with some shots of my daughter and I from her second birthday party. I couldn't find the balance I wanted so it is just a very busy page. Working with a diamond shape is trickier than I thought.
I used sketch #144 from Sketchabilities.
Everything comes from the Fancy Pants: Me-ology collection. I used black paint for the background and some black ink to outline the diamonds. I coloured the cameras with markers.

Roar Layout
My daughter loves tigers. She always gets her face painted as a tiger and lately says she wants to be a tiger tamer when she grows up. Yikes!
I followed the sketch at My Creative Sketches.

I also played along with Picture This! The challenge is to use a black background, 1 picture and 2 patterned papers.
I chose my picture so I could enter the challenge at Paper Issues: It's All About The Face. I chose a close-up of my daughter's face paint.
I used papers from DCWV: Animal Crackers. The frame is DCWV: Snapshot Stack. The die cuts are from Recollections. The letters are Thickers. I used a stamp and white ink for the paw prints.

Friendship Layout
I love this picture. The girls look so cute and the colours and patterns are so bright. I pulled out my new Amy Tangerine stack which is very bright! It made this dreary day a little better.
I used the Scrappy Friend's Challenge as inspiration. The sketch is from GrandDiva's Creative Corner.

I also joined the Tic Tac Toe challenge from Rochelle Spears. I went down the middle column. I had a bird for anything that flys, many cameras and 6 patterned papers.
The final component is the word challenge at Creating with Paper and More. I used the word "friends" in the banner.
I used papers from Amy Tangerine: Hi, Sunshine. The embellishments are from My Mind's Eye: My Girl, Bella Blvd: Playdate and Glitz: 77.
